The
Importance of Training Calls
Okay,
so you've stared a new business and you want to work it from home.
That's fantastic. First off, lets take note of a few things:
- Without
advertising no one is ever going to know your business exists.
-
You are now officially a "One-Person-Show", so it is
your responsibility to seek out and learn new ways to improve
and develop your marketing strategies.
- You
don't have the benefit of a weekly "Monday Morning Sales
Meeting" with the rest of your staff or coworkers.
Keeping
these things in mind, you do however have some fabulous resources
at your fingertips. You can read and learn many techniques on
the Internet.
But,
best of all, you now have an amazing opportunity to listen to live
training calls twice a week.
These
will be hosted by the best of the best. People who have been exactly
where you are and spent months in the trenches learning the tricks
of the trade.
The
information you will gain from these calls will be invaluable to
the growth of your new business.
I would
suggest that you get a calendar or a day-timer and mark down 4 weeks
in advance when each live training calls is scheduled, who will
be the keynote speaker and what topics they will be covering.
Using
Technology to Your Advantage
As
you can see, I'm a technologist and I believe that the more you know
how to take advantage of the tools and resources around you, the
faster your business is going to grow.
Just
take a look at this web site for an example.
So
I was cruising the aisles of my local electronics store looking
for ways to improve my business. Low and behold I found several
great little toys for recording phone conversations.
"Record-A-Call" or "CallCorder"
Both are
very similar. The idea is simple. You plug this little adapter between
your base phone and your handset and it will listen to and pick
up on both sides of the conversation.
You
can then plug this into the Mic jack on a cassette recorder or a
hand held tape recorder and you now have one very powerful tool.
You
can pick one of these units up for under $15 and a cassette
recorder or a hand held recorder will cost you between $30 - $100,
depending on the quality.
In
closing I would suggest that you login to your training web site
right now and mark down the upcoming live training schedule.
TIPS
- The
advantages of buying a larger desk size recorder are; the tapes
can go up to 120+ min in length and it is much less expensive
to buy more tapes.
- These
tapes can also then be played in your car, stereo, etc. Which
you can't do with the small hand held tapes.
Success
Stories and Testimonials
Hi
Segovia,
I
just wanted to write you a quick thank you note and let you know
your article has increased my bottom line in only two days. Up until
recently I was missing out on some extremely valuable information
as I have a demanding job and find it hard to get home in time for
the live training calls. Now
that I have a system in place to record all the calls, I am able
to have my roommate tape them for me.
Just
yesterday I was listening to one of the calls that I would have
otherwise missed and some of the information I learned from that
call helped me make a sale to a friend that I was trying to find
information on a specific product for several weeks now.
Thanks
Man,
